Student's will create a watercolor painting of a leaf and will use warm colors inside the leaf and cool colors for their background, Though careful planning of their designs they will add patterns, and design within the leaf and will use marker in the background to complete the project.

Students will listen to instructions as well as having visual examples to understand the art making process
Students will need to use key vocabulary words during the evaluation process to discuss their design
Warm Colors: Reds, oranges, and yellows are considered warm colors. Colors that remind you of fire, lava and the sun.
Cool Colors: Blues, Greens, and Violets, are considered cool colors.
Colors that remind you of ice, water, soil and snow.
Blending: To mix smoothly together
Pattern: The repetition of lines and shapes
Texture: Texture creates the feeling of an object.
