Content Objectives:
 Students will create an abstract design using mixed media (watercolors and pen)
Students will use a variety of colors to paint a design. This will become the positive space.
Students will use the white areas that are unpainted to create lines and shapes in a pattern, to fill the negative space.
Language Objectives (write, read, speak, listen):

Students will listen to instruction as the teacher visually demonstrates the lesson

Students will use proper vocabulary when critiquing their work

Key Vocabulary:

1. Line: A dot that went for a walk.
2. Shape: An enclosed space.
3. Color: is the element of art that is produced when light hits an object.

4. Texture: The feel of an object
5. Pattern: The repetition of elements in a piece of art
Materials:

White drawing paper (9x12)
Water colors
Water, brush,
Extra fine sharpie markers
